About this asset

This contemporary 3ds Max armchair features a natural wood frame, rattan backrest, and beige fabric upholstery for a refined interior. Designed with a clean, contemporary silhouette, this armchair combines a solid wood frame with a woven rattan back insert. The seat features a thick, upholstered cushion, complemented by a matching rectangular back cushion for lumbar support. The frame exhibits a natural wood grain finish, providing a warm contrast to the light beige fabric. Its proportions are balanced for both dining and occasional use, with curved armrests that integrate seamlessly into the rear legs. The overall construction highlights a careful blend of organic textures and modern structural simplicity, suitable for various interior schemes.

The download is a 90.1 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

When using this model in 3ds Max, ensure the object is placed on a flat plane to maintain correct vertical alignment. The textures are mapped to the geometry, allowing for easy adjustment of UV coordinates if scaling the model for specific project requirements. Users should check the layer structure to manage the cushion and frame components independently. Applying a high-quality environment map or HDRI will help capture the subtle reflections on the wood surfaces and the depth of the woven rattan material.

This armchair is a versatile addition to residential dining rooms, high-end hospitality lobbies, or boutique office meeting areas. It pairs well with minimalist timber dining tables or as an accent seat in a bedroom. Interior designers often search for this type of seating when specifying furniture for projects that require a blend of comfort and natural materiality. It works effectively in both modern and scandinavian-inspired spaces where a light, airy aesthetic is desired to maintain visual openness within the room.
