About this asset

This contemporary grey fabric wingback armchair for SketchUp features a tufted backrest, a swivel base, and a draped fabric throw. This contemporary armchair features a distinct wingback profile with a deep, tufted backrest and seat cushion upholstered in a textured grey fabric. The shell sits atop a four-legged white metal swivel base, providing a clean contrast to the upholstered body. The design includes a draped fabric throw over the backrest, adding a layer of visual softness. The proportions are compact yet supportive, making it suitable for focused seating areas. The geometry is clean, with the upholstery showing subtle detailing at the seams and tufted intersections, balanced by the minimalist structural base.

The download is a 10.9 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

In SketchUp, this model is organised as a component, allowing for efficient placement within a scene. Users should check the component axes to ensure correct orientation when rotating the swivel base. Materials are applied as standard textures, which can be easily replaced or adjusted in the materials tray to match project-specific colour palettes. For high-quality renders, ensure the draped throw geometry is smoothed and that the model is placed on a flat surface to correctly align the four-legged base.

Ideal for residential living rooms, boutique hotel lobbies, or quiet reading corners in home offices, this armchair adds a touch of comfort to modern interiors. It pairs well with minimalist side tables or floor lamps in neutral settings. Architects and interior designers might search for this piece when looking for textured accent seating or lounge furniture that offers a relaxed, lived-in aesthetic. It is a versatile choice for visualisation projects requiring a stylish, contemporary focal point that suggests a comfortable and inviting atmosphere.
