Contemporary Grey Fabric Upholstered Dining Chair, Upholstered Armchair

This contemporary grey fabric dining chair for SketchUp features an organic, cut-out backrest design supported by tapered timber legs. The chair exhibits a refined contemporary silhouette defined by its fluid, continuous backrest and integrated armrests. The seat and back are fully upholstered in a neutral, fine-weave grey fabric, providing a soft contrast to the warm, natural-wood finish of the four tapered, splayed legs. A distinct open aperture between the seat base and the backrest creates a lightweight, airy aesthetic. The proportions are balanced for standard dining or occasional use, with clean lines that bridge the gap between mid-century organic forms and modern minimalist furniture design.

The download is a 21.7 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

In SketchUp, this model is structured with grouped geometry, allowing for easy placement and orientation within a scene. Users should verify that the model's axis is correctly aligned with the floor plane upon insertion. The fabric and wood materials are mapped to standard faces, enabling simple adjustments to textures or colours via the materials tray. For high-quality visualisations, the model performs well with standard rendering plugins, where the fabric texture can be enhanced with bump maps to capture the weave detail accurately.

This versatile dining chair is suited for a wide range of interior projects, including residential dining rooms, high-end hospitality venues, and modern office breakout areas.
