About this asset

This contemporary armchair for SketchUp features a sleek combination of textured grey fabric upholstery and a structured black leather frame. Defined by its clean lines and contrasting textures, this armchair balances soft comfort with a rigid architectural form. The seat and back cushions are upholstered in a tactile, heathered grey fabric, creating a soft visual and physical experience. These are encased by a slim, structured frame finished in smooth black leather, which extends to form the armrests. The entire assembly sits on a slender, minimalist metal base with four thin legs, providing an airy aesthetic that prevents the solid frame from feeling overly heavy in a room composition.

The download is a 36.2 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

Integrate this SketchUp model directly into your interior scenes by importing the file and placing it on a flat surface component. The geometry is organised for efficient selection and material application, allowing for quick adjustments to the fabric mapping or leather finish via the materials tray. Ensure the model is scaled correctly to your project's anthropometric standards before final rendering to maintain accurate proportions within your floor plan or perspective views.

Ideal for residential living rooms, boutique hotel lobbies, or executive office waiting areas, this piece functions as a sophisticated accent chair. It pairs well with minimalist coffee tables, low-profile side tables, and neutral area rugs. Designers frequently search for this type of seating when specifying furniture for high-end residential projects or modern commercial lounge spaces where a balance of texture and sleek, contemporary aesthetics is required to complete a seating arrangement or a quiet reading corner.
