About this asset

This contemporary 3ds Max curtain set features layered white sheer fabric and grey solid drapes, providing a clean, professional finish. This window treatment set consists of two distinct layers designed for versatility. The inner layer is a lightweight, semi-sheer white fabric that allows for soft light diffusion, while the outer layer features a heavier, textured grey fabric for privacy and light control. The curtains are modelled with realistic vertical folds and natural draping, reaching from the top track to the floor. The combination of the neutral white and the muted, slightly mottled grey adds depth and texture to interior scenes without overwhelming the existing colour palette or architectural features of a space.

The download is a 6.9 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model holding 2 separate objects, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

To use this asset in 3ds Max, merge the file into your scene and align the top header with your window head or curtain track geometry. The fabric surfaces are UV-mapped to accept custom textures or shaders. You can adjust the width by scaling the object along the horizontal axis or by modifying the mesh vertices if further customisation is required. Ensure your scene lighting is configured to interact correctly with the semi-sheer material to achieve a natural, translucent effect in final renders.

These curtains are essential for residential projects, particularly in living rooms and bedrooms where privacy and light management are required. They also perform well in hospitality settings such as hotel suites or boutique guest rooms. Designers often search for these when specifying window treatments that offer a layered, high-end look. They pair effectively with minimalist or contemporary decor, providing a soft contrast to hard surfaces like timber flooring, concrete, or stone, and helping to break up large expanses of glazing.
