About this asset

This contemporary 3ds Max wine cabinet features a split design with open display shelving and a textured timber slatted door. The unit presents a balanced composition of open storage and concealed space. The left side features a grid of asymmetric shelves finished in a dark grey, suitable for glassware, books, and decorative items. The right side includes dedicated horizontal wine racks with timber slats, partially obscured by a vertical, fluted timber door panel. This combination of smooth, matte-finished surfaces and tactile, rhythmic vertical slats creates a sophisticated visual contrast. The structure is robust, designed with clean lines and integrated storage solutions that cater to both display and utility requirements in high-end interiors.

The download is a 30.7 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this model is structured with logical layering for easy material adjustment. Users should ensure the pivot point is correctly aligned for the door if animation is required. Texture mapping for the fluted panels should be checked to maintain consistent grain orientation. The model is well-suited for integration into larger interior scenes, allowing for quick placement as a focal point in dining or living areas. Ensure lighting is configured to highlight the depth of the slatted detail.

This piece is ideal for luxury residential projects, particularly in dining rooms, open-plan living areas, or bespoke home bars. It also functions effectively in hospitality settings like boutique restaurants or hotel lounges where a curated display of spirits and wine is desired. Designers might pair this with minimalist furniture to allow the texture of the slats to remain a focal point.
