About this asset

These contemporary charcoal fabric curtains for SketchUp feature a floor-length drop and gathered pleating for realistic window dressing. This pair of floor-length curtains features a textured charcoal fabric with a consistent, vertical weave pattern. The panels are modelled with soft, natural-looking folds and gathered header detailing, suggesting a standard pinch-pleat or pencil-pleat heading style. Designed as a pair, the curtains hang straight with subtle movement at the base to mimic a realistic drape. The geometry is clean, focusing on the verticality of the fabric and the depth created by the pleats, making them a versatile soft furnishing component for interior visualisations requiring a neutral, sophisticated window treatment.

The download is a 9.5 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model holding 2 separate objects. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

In SketchUp, these curtains are provided as a grouped component. Users should scale the panels to match the specific height and width of the window opening in the project. The material mapping is pre-applied, allowing for easy adjustment of the texture scale or colour tinting within the material editor. Because the geometry is relatively lightweight, it can be easily copied and mirrored to cover larger spans or different window configurations without significantly impacting the overall scene file size or performance.

These curtains are suitable for residential living rooms, bedrooms, and hospitality suites where a modern, understated aesthetic is required. They pair well with minimalist furniture and neutral palettes, acting as a subtle backdrop rather than a focal point. Professionals often search for these when populating interior scenes for concept development or final presentation renders. They are effective for adding warmth to digital spaces and can be placed alongside curtain rods or pelmet details to complete a polished, professional architectural interior design.
