About this asset

This contemporary 3ds Max partition shelving unit features an open-grid wooden frame with integrated glass display elements. Constructed from a dark brown timber frame, this partition functions as an open-concept room divider. The design incorporates a structured grid of varying rectangular apertures, with specific sections featuring light wood inserts and glass shelving. These internal compartments are styled with an assortment of white and yellow decorative vases, adding visual interest and depth to the assembly. The overall geometry is clean and linear, providing a semi-permeable boundary that maintains sightlines between spaces while offering functional display storage for curated objects and accessories within the home or office environment.

The download is a 70.2 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this partition is organised into logical layers, allowing for easy selection and adjustment of the individual decorative elements. Users should check the pivot points for precise placement within the scene. The glass shelves are mapped with appropriate transparency materials, which may require adjustment of IOR and reflection settings to suit the specific lighting environment. The model is scaled for standard ceiling heights; ensure the unit is correctly snapped to the floor plane when inserting into a project.

This partition is suitable for open-plan living areas, reception lobbies, or modern retail showrooms where a subtle separation of space is required. It pairs effectively with minimalist furniture and neutral interior palettes. Professionals often search for this type of asset when designing flexible floor plans that require a focal point for displaying decor. It is an ideal addition to high-end residential projects or professional workspaces seeking a balance between functional storage and architectural transparency, particularly when creating defined zones without building solid walls.
