About this asset

This contemporary 3ds Max dining chair features a rich brown velvet seat and backrest supported by a dark stained wooden frame. Defined by its bold geometric frame, this dining chair combines soft upholstery with a structured timber base. The deep brown velvet provides a tactile contrast to the dark-stained wood, which showcases a visible grain. The design includes a curved backrest that wraps around the rear, connected to the frame with subtle metallic hardware details. The seat is generously padded, offering a balanced profile that bridges the gap between a standard dining chair and a compact lounge seat. Its silhouette is clean yet substantial, making it a versatile choice for refined interior compositions.

When integrating this model into a 3ds Max scene, ensure the object is placed on the floor plane using the pivot point at the base of the legs. The velvet material can be adjusted for light absorption by modifying the reflection and bump maps to suit your specific lighting setup. Grouping the chair allows for easier population of dining tables, while the separate material IDs for the wood and fabric enable quick texture variations during the look-development process for architectural visualisation projects.

This chair is suited for high-end residential dining rooms, boutique hotel suites, or executive meeting areas where comfort meets a strong design statement.
