About this asset

This contemporary 3ds Max lounge chair features a distinctively quilted brown leather seat supported by a minimalist metal frame. Defined by its high-backed, segmented silhouette, this lounge chair offers a modern take on the traditional wingback form. The entire seating surface is upholstered in a rich, cognac-brown leather, featuring a grid-like quilted pattern that provides both visual texture and plush comfort. The backrest curves slightly to cradle the user, while the seat pan maintains a deep, rounded profile. This soft, organic upper structure is contrasted by a clean, geometric base consisting of four straight, powder-coated black metal legs, creating a balanced aesthetic that bridges comfort and structural precision.

The download is a 5 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

When integrating this model into a 3ds Max scene, ensure the pivot point is correctly aligned at the base of the legs for standard floor placement. The object should be managed within a dedicated layer for seating to maintain scene organisation. Users can apply custom material shaders to the leather components to match specific interior lighting conditions, while the metal legs can be adjusted to support various finish requirements, from matte black to polished metallic textures, using standard editor workflows.

Ideal for residential living rooms, reading nooks, or high-end hotel lobby seating areas, this lounge chair serves as a functional accent piece. It pairs effectively with minimalist side tables or floor lamps to create a focused relaxation zone. Designers often search for this type of furniture when specifying mid-century inspired or contemporary interiors where comfort and sculptural form are equally prioritised. It is suitable for use in both visualisations and interior design planning for boutique commercial spaces and private residences.
