About this asset

This contemporary double-layer SketchUp model features a combination of brown and white fabric curtains for interior window treatments. These floor-to-ceiling curtains feature a dual-layered design, layering a sheer white inner fabric with heavier brown outer panels. The textile is modelled with soft, natural vertical folds that suggest a weighted, high-quality drape. The arrangement is structured to provide both privacy and light diffusion, making it a versatile choice for various interior styles. The model is clean and well-defined, capturing the realistic gathering of the fabric at the top header, which creates a sense of depth and volume suitable for high-quality architectural visualisations where textile realism is required.

The download is a 28.6 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

Professionals should manage the geometry using layers or tags to toggle visibility during the modelling process. Because of the complex fold geometry, it is recommended to apply textures with appropriate UV mapping to ensure the fabric grain flows correctly with the pleats. When rendering, users can adjust the transparency of the inner white layer to control light transmission, ensuring the material properties reflect accurate light-filtering characteristics for interior scenes.

These curtains are essential for residential bedroom and living room projects, providing a polished, finished look to windows. They pair effectively with minimalist or contemporary furniture, adding softness to spaces with hard surfaces like stone or timber. Interior designers use these assets during the concept and design development stages to establish the mood and lighting quality of a room. Professionals searching for window dressings, drapes, or textile-based interior elements will find this model suitable for high-end residential or boutique hotel visualisations.
