About this asset

This contemporary blue velvet armchair for 3ds Max features a sleek gold-finished metal frame and a curved, semi-enclosed backrest. Defined by its curved, wrap-around backrest and deep seat cushion, this contemporary armchair offers a sophisticated silhouette suitable for refined interiors. The piece is upholstered in a rich blue velvet, which contrasts with the slender, gold-finished metal frame that supports the structure. The frame extends from the legs to cradle the backrest, creating a seamless visual flow. Its proportions are compact yet comfortable, making it an ideal choice for accent seating. The design balances soft, luxurious textile textures with the clean, minimalist lines of the metallic base, providing both visual interest and structural durability.

Integrate this model into your 3ds Max scene by merging the file into your master project library. The geometry is clean and well-structured, allowing for easy placement within interior compositions. Apply your preferred materials or adjust the existing velvet and metal shaders to match your specific lighting environment. The object is scaled for standard seating heights, ensuring it fits naturally alongside dining or lounge tables without requiring significant adjustments to the base mesh or pivot point placement.

This armchair is well-suited for high-end residential living rooms, boutique hotel lobbies, or luxury office reception areas. It pairs effectively with minimalist side tables or as a standalone piece in a reading corner. Designers often search for velvet accent chairs to add a touch of colour and texture to neutral schemes. It works particularly well in projects focusing on modern or transitional aesthetics where a blend of metallic accents and soft upholstery is required to create a sense of balanced elegance.
