Contemporary Blue Velvet Armchair with Black Side Table

This contemporary 3ds Max model features a blue velvet armchair with a distinctive cut-out backrest paired with a sleek black side table. The armchair exhibits a rounded, semi-circular backrest that features a central cut-out detail, creating a light and airy silhouette. It is upholstered in a deep blue velvet fabric that provides a soft, tactile finish. The seat is well-cushioned and sits atop a slender, dark metal frame that maintains a minimalist aesthetic. Accompanying the chair is a compact, cone-shaped side table with a high-gloss black finish and a metallic base ring. The set is designed to work as a cohesive lounge unit, balancing the plush texture of the seating with the polished, rigid geometry of the table.

The download is a 10.8 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model holding 2 separate objects, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this set is organised by logical naming conventions for easy scene management. Users should apply the provided material shaders to the geometry, ensuring the velvet texture is mapped correctly to capture the characteristic sheen and soft reflections. The metal frame and table base are grouped for simple placement within a room layout. Adjusting the light intensity and using an HDRI environment will help highlight the depth of the fabric and the reflective quality of the table surface during the rendering process.

This set is ideal for high-end residential living rooms, boutique hotel lobbies, or executive lounge areas where a sophisticated accent piece is required. It pairs well with modern floor lamps and area rugs to create a defined reading nook or conversation zone. Designers searching for luxury seating, blue accent chairs, or small-scale lounge furniture will find this model versatile for both contemporary and transitional interior design projects. It is particularly effective when placed in pairs or as a standalone piece in a quiet corner.
