About this asset

This contemporary 3ds Max sofa features a sweeping curved frame with a distinctive rattan backrest and beige fabric upholstery. Defined by its generous arc, this sofa combines structural lightness with plush comfort. The high, semi-circular backrest is finished in an open-weave rattan cane, framed by a smooth, light-toned timber edge. The deep, continuous seat cushion is upholstered in a neutral, textured beige fabric, providing a soft contrast to the rigid frame. It includes a collection of scatter cushions in both solid and striped fabric patterns, alongside a draped throw blanket for added texture. The entire assembly is supported by slender, tapered wooden legs that follow the gentle curve of the sofa base.

The download is a 114 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this model is structured with logical layer separation for easy material management. Users should apply a standard subdivision modifier if closer detail is required for specific camera angles. The rattan texture relies on high-resolution opacity maps, which should be verified upon import to ensure correct transparency. Adjust the light intensity in your scene to highlight the depth of the weave, as the natural rattan material is sensitive to ambient occlusion and global illumination settings during the final render pass.

Ideal for high-end residential living rooms or boutique hotel lobbies, this sofa serves as a primary focal point in open-plan spaces. It works well when positioned centrally to define a seating area, paired with low-profile coffee tables or circular rugs that echo its organic geometry. Professionals searching for statement furniture, curved lounge seating, or pieces blending natural materials with modern forms will find this suitable for luxury interior design projects, particularly those aiming for a relaxed, sophisticated aesthetic in lounge or reception areas.
