About this asset

This contemporary double-layer fabric curtain for SketchUp features floor-length heavy drapes paired with a sheer white inner layer. This window treatment consists of a dual-layered assembly designed for realistic interior visualisation. The outer layer features a textured, opaque fabric in a warm beige tone, providing a weighted look with structured vertical folds. Behind this sits a light, semi-transparent white sheer layer that diffuses incoming light, adding depth and softness to the overall composition. The drapes are modelled to hang naturally from a ceiling or wall-mounted track, reaching the floor with gentle pooling at the base. The contrast between the neutral beige and the crisp white creates a versatile, clean aesthetic.

The download is a 32.7 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

When integrating this model into a SketchUp project, place the curtain assembly as a component to ensure easy scaling for different window heights and widths. Use the native material editor to adjust the transparency of the sheer layer, ensuring it interacts correctly with your chosen lighting setup. It is recommended to place the curtain on a dedicated layer, allowing for quick toggling during the development of interior views and helping to maintain a lightweight model file throughout the design process.

These curtains are suitable for residential living rooms, master bedrooms, and high-end hotel suites where a layered window treatment adds a sense of comfort and finish. They pair well with minimalist or contemporary interior styles, complementing timber flooring and neutral wall palettes. Architects and interior designers will find this asset useful for mid-to-late stage visualisations, helping to ground a space and provide a sense of scale.
