About this asset

This circular braided rope rug for SketchUp features a minimalist, coil-patterned design in a natural beige tone, ideal for interior styling. This circular rug is constructed from a continuous, tightly wound length of braided rope, creating a distinct spiral pattern across its surface. The design is understated and minimalist, relying on the organic texture of the coiled material to provide visual interest rather than complex ornamentation or varied colour palettes. The beige hue maintains a neutral, earthy aesthetic, making it highly versatile for various interior design schemes. Its circular form is well-defined, with a low profile that sits flush against the floor, ensuring it does not appear overly bulky within a 3D scene.

The download is a 7 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

When integrating this rug into a SketchUp scene, place the component directly onto the floor plane. Since the geometry is relatively simple, it will not significantly impact model performance. Users can scale the rug to suit specific room dimensions, though maintaining its circular aspect ratio is recommended for accurate presentation. If applying custom textures or materials, ensure the UV mapping is adjusted to follow the spiral path of the rope coils for a realistic appearance in final renders.

This rug works well in residential living areas, bedrooms, or nursery spaces where a soft, natural aesthetic is required. It pairs effectively with wooden furniture, rattan seating, or minimalist coffee tables. Professionals often use this asset to add warmth and texture to rendering projects, particularly in Scandi or wabi-sabi inspired interiors. It is a useful addition to libraries for interior design visualisations, providing a tactile element that grounds furniture arrangements and helps define seating zones within open-plan living environments.
