About this asset

This mid-century style rocking armchair and side table set for 3ds Max features a black moulded seat on a metal and wood base. This set consists of a classic mid-century style rocking armchair paired with a small, circular side table. The armchair features a deep, ergonomic black plastic shell with integrated armrests, supported by a complex cross-wire metal base finished in chrome, which rests upon two curved light-toned wooden rockers. The accompanying side table echoes this aesthetic with a matching black conical base and a circular top. Small decorative items including a notebook and pens are included, providing a realistic sense of scale and utility for interior scenes.

The download is a 9.1 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model holding 2 separate objects, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this set is organised into logical layers for easy manipulation. Users should ensure the assets are grouped or linked correctly before placement within a scene. The materials are pre-assigned, allowing for quick adjustments to the plastic finish or wood grain textures via the Slate Material Editor. For lighting, standard HDRI setups will effectively highlight the chrome wire base and the smooth, reflective surface of the plastic seat, maintaining realistic highlights and shadows in architectural visualisations.

This furniture set is ideal for contemporary living room designs, reading nooks, or boutique hotel lobby spaces where a touch of mid-century flair is desired. It pairs well with minimalist interiors or eclectic residential projects. Designers searching for lounge furniture, accent chairs, or small-scale table sets will find this model useful for adding character to corner spaces. It is suited for both high-end residential staging and commercial hospitality projects where comfort and iconic design language are required to define the space.
