About this asset

This contemporary double-layer curtain SketchUp model features a textured beige outer layer and a smooth white sheer lining. This window dressing assembly consists of a dual-layered curtain system designed with realistic folds and natural drape. The outer layer is a coarse, textured fabric in a neutral beige tone, suggesting a heavy linen or woven blend. Behind this, a lighter, opaque white sheer layer provides a clean, minimalist contrast. The model captures the vertical pleating and floor-length drop, creating a soft, layered aesthetic suitable for residential or hotel interiors. The geometry is clean, focusing on the organic flow of the fabric folds to ensure a natural appearance when rendered in a interior scene.

The download is a 31.3 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

Users can scale the width to fit specific window openings while maintaining the proportion of the pleats. It is recommended to apply high-resolution bump or displacement maps to the outer fabric layer to enhance the visibility of the weave texture. The component is organised into layers, allowing for easy toggling between the sheer and opaque layers for different lighting configurations or open-closed states within the model.

These curtains are ideal for high-end residential living rooms, master bedrooms, and luxury hotel suites where a layered window treatment is required. They pair well with modern, minimalist furniture, adding warmth and softening the hard lines of a space. Designers looking for soft furnishings for interior visualisations will find this asset useful for adding depth to window reveals. Common search terms include window treatments, floor-length drapery, linen curtains, and layered window dressing for architectural rendering and interior design projects.
