Abstract Monochrome Organic Shape Area Rug

This contemporary organic shape area rug is a SketchUp model featuring a detailed monochrome abstract pattern with a soft fabric texture. This area rug features a distinct, irregular organic silhouette reminiscent of natural stone cross-sections or fluid ink patterns. The surface is defined by a high-contrast monochrome design, utilising swirling bands of white, charcoal grey, and black to create depth and visual movement. Its non-traditional geometry breaks the rigidity of standard rectangular floor coverings, making it a focal point in minimalist or modern interiors. The material representation suggests a dense, low-pile fabric finish, suitable for adding texture to clean, hard-surface floors. The edges are clean-cut, maintaining the fluid, amoebic form throughout the entire piece.

The download is an 11.6 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

Within SketchUp, this model is managed as a single component, allowing for easy placement and scaling to fit specific floor plans. Users should ensure the model is placed on a dedicated layer for floor finishes to maintain scene organisation. The texture mapping is pre-applied, though users can adjust the material scale or orientation within the material editor to align with the room's primary light source or circulation paths. It is lightweight and integrates seamlessly into larger interior scenes without significantly impacting viewport performance.
