About this asset

This SketchUp model features a set of two recessed white plaster ceiling panels with integrated perimeter lighting channels. This architectural ceiling set comprises two distinct modular panels designed for recessed installation. Each unit features a clean, white matte finish with crisp, rounded internal corners and a perimeter channel intended for concealed lighting. The geometry provides a subtle depth to flat ceiling planes, incorporating fine line details and recessed fixing points. The set includes both a large square-proportioned panel and a rectangular configuration, allowing for versatile ceiling design layouts in contemporary interiors. The construction is uniform, emphasizing a minimalist aesthetic through refined edges and a seamless, integrated appearance.

The download is a 4.2 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model holding 2 separate objects. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

In SketchUp, these panels are organized as separate components for easy placement within a ceiling group. Users should align the top face with the primary ceiling plane and use the 'Move' tool to adjust the depth of the recess to match specific project requirements. Materials are applied via standard SketchUp textures; ensure the lighting channels are populated with emissive materials or light components to achieve the intended indirect illumination effect in rendered scenes.

These ceiling panels are ideal for high-end residential living rooms, hotel lobby ceilings, and luxury retail showroom projects. They pair effectively with modern minimalist interiors, providing a sophisticated architectural detail that conceals functional lighting. Professionals often search for 'recessed soffit details', 'cove lighting ceiling', or 'minimalist ceiling panels' to enhance the visual interest of large, empty ceiling planes. They are suitable for use in late-stage design development and high-quality architectural visualisation where ceiling finish details are critical.
