About this asset

Industrial exposed ceiling system in SketchUp, featuring a black metal grid structure integrated with geometric LED light fixtures. This exposed ceiling assembly comprises a complex network of black metal structural grids, conduit runs, and service pipes. The design prioritises a raw, industrial aesthetic by leaving mechanical elements visible. Integrated into the grid are several geometric LED luminaires, including hexagonal and triangular frames that provide a stark, modern contrast to the dark metal framework. The model captures the density of commercial service routing, with varying depths of conduit and mesh panels that create a layered, technical appearance suitable for high-end interior visualisations where structural transparency is the goal.

The download is a 24.7 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

In SketchUp, this assembly is best managed as a nested group or component to maintain viewport performance. Users should place the ceiling unit at the appropriate floor-to-ceiling height, ensuring the geometric LED elements are correctly aligned with the primary layout. Because the model relies on high-contrast black materials, adjust your global lighting environment or HDRI settings to ensure the light-emitting textures on the hexagonal and triangular fixtures are visible in your final render output.

This technical ceiling is ideal for contemporary commercial projects, specifically open-plan offices, loft-style retail showrooms, and modern hospitality venues such as cafes or bars. It pairs effectively with polished concrete flooring and exposed brick walls to reinforce an industrial design language. When searching for this asset, professionals often use terms like exposed services, industrial ceiling grid, or technical ceiling lighting. It is particularly useful during the concept development and design documentation stages for projects requiring a raw, unrefined aesthetic.
