About this asset

This comprehensive set of classic decorative plaster mouldings and cornices for SketchUp features sixteen distinct profiles. This collection includes a diverse array of classic plaster moulding profiles, ranging from simple stepped cornices and diamond-patterned trims to intricate acanthus leaf and floral friezes. Each piece is modeled as a linear segment, designed to be extruded or tiled along ceiling perimeters or wall surfaces. The geometries vary from minimalist concave and convex curves to highly detailed, ornate relief carvings suitable for period-style interiors. These elements provide essential architectural depth, offering the necessary variety to define transitions between walls and ceilings, or to add decorative structure to traditional room designs.

The download is a 25.9 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model holding 16 separate objects. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

Professionals can integrate these profiles into SketchUp by utilizing the Follow Me tool to sweep the cross-sections along defined paths. Each file is provided as an individual component, allowing users to easily scale and adjust segments to fit specific room dimensions. By grouping these elements on dedicated layers, designers can maintain clean project organization while applying consistent material textures across multiple runs of cornice, ensuring a seamless finish in interior visualizations.

These plaster mouldings are ideal for residential, hospitality, and heritage-style projects where traditional interior detailing is required. They are frequently used in renovation or new-build designs to add character to living rooms, dining areas, and grand hallways. Architects and interior designers will find these assets essential for adding authentic detail to ceiling coves, door surrounds, or wall paneling layouts. They pair exceptionally well with classic furniture, chandeliers, and high-ceiling spaces, helping to ground the overall stylistic theme of a luxury or traditional interior.
