About this asset

A comprehensive set of 28 mosaic tile materials for SketchUp, featuring varied geometric patterns and diverse colour palettes. This collection comprises twenty-eight distinct mosaic tile material definitions, curated for architectural visualisation. The set includes a broad spectrum of designs ranging from classic square grids and linear compositions to intricate decorative motifs. Finishes vary from matte and satin to high-gloss, with realistic grout line detailing that provides depth and texture to surfaces. The palette spans neutral greys and whites, vibrant primary colours, soft pastels, and rich earth tones, allowing for versatile applications in interior design projects. Each material is pre-configured to ensure consistent scaling and realistic light interaction across various surface types.

The download is a 31.8 MB compressed archive with the textures and a ready-made SketchUp (.skp) material library, so the maps arrive already assigned to materials you can drag onto your own geometry.

To implement these materials in SketchUp, import the files directly into your project's material browser. Once loaded, apply the textures to geometry and use the texture position tool to adjust the scale and orientation to fit your specific floor or wall dimensions. For optimal results, ensure your model's UV mapping is clean and consider adjusting the reflection and bump parameters within your rendering engine to enhance the tactile quality of the tiles, particularly for close-up architectural shots.

These mosaic textures are essential for detailing bathroom wet rooms, kitchen backsplashes, and decorative feature walls in residential or commercial hospitality designs. Designers can utilise them to quickly iterate through colour schemes or pattern variations during the schematic design phase. They pair effectively with minimalist sanitaryware, timber joinery, or polished stone surfaces. Use these materials when searching for high-quality tile finishes, decorative wall cladding, or surface mapping assets to refine the realism of your interior visualisations and architectural presentations.
