About this asset

This equirectangular HDRI environment map provides realistic exterior lighting with a clear sky and low sun over railway tracks. Captured in an open, grassy landscape, this high-dynamic-range environment map features a set of railway tracks running through a park-like setting. The scene is defined by a clear, bright blue sky and a low sun position, which generates long, distinct directional shadows and high-contrast lighting conditions. The foreground consists of detailed gravel ballast and wooden sleepers, flanked by patches of natural green vegetation and distant trees. The panoramic capture ensures consistent 360-degree illumination, suitable for establishing a natural, bright, and airy atmosphere in exterior architectural visualisations and digital scenes.

The download is a 6.2 MB file containing a 2K equirectangular high-dynamic-range environment map, ready to load as dome or world lighting in Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp renderers, Unreal Engine and D5.

To integrate this file, load the.hdr into your rendering engine's environment or world lighting slot. Adjust the rotation and intensity to align the sun position with your scene geometry to ensure shadows match the lighting source. Because this is an equirectangular map, it will automatically wrap around your 3D scene, providing both background reflections and global illumination. Use the exposure control in your render settings to fine-tune the brightness and balance the high-contrast highlights characteristic of this clear-sky capture.

This environment map is ideal for exterior architectural renders where a bright, sunny, and open setting is required. It works effectively for landscape design projects, infrastructure visualisations, or any project needing a natural, high-contrast outdoor light setup. Professionals often use these files to provide realistic reflections on glass and metallic building facades, or to ground outdoor furniture and transport models within a believable context. It pairs well with suburban or rural residential designs, transport hub concepts, and general park or green-space development proposals.
