Grey Japanese Zen Garden Landscape Scene

This Japanese Zen Garden 3ds Max scene provides a curated landscape arrangement featuring rock formations, bamboo, and water basins. Composed as a detailed landscape scene, this collection features a variety of traditional Japanese garden elements arranged on mossy terrain. The assembly includes large, weathered rock formations, bamboo stalks, and sculpted stone water basins with bamboo spouts. A central Buddha statue and smaller contemplative figures are integrated amongst stone lanterns and raked gravel paths. The planting palette consists of various shrubs, ornamental trees, and low-lying moss layers that define the ground plane. Each element is carefully scaled to create a cohesive, tranquil environment, with varied textures from smooth river stones to craggy, dark grey boulders.

The download is a 101 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) scene, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

Within 3ds Max, this scene is structured as a complete assembly, allowing for immediate integration into larger architectural projects. Users can treat the collection as a single reference or detach individual components to populate custom landscape designs. Textures are mapped for realistic light absorption, particularly on the stone and moss surfaces, ensuring natural integration with global illumination settings. The file is optimized for efficient viewport navigation, with logical grouping of landscape elements to facilitate quick selection and adjustment of specific garden features.
