About this asset

This equirectangular HDR environment map provides high-contrast midday lighting for outdoor renders, featuring a rural sunflower field. Captured as a high-dynamic-range panorama, this environment map depicts a rural scene dominated by expansive sunflower fields and a worn asphalt road. The lighting profile is consistent with bright, midday conditions under a partly cloudy sky, offering crisp shadows and natural, warm sunlight. The composition provides an immersive 360-degree view, capturing the textures of the road surface, the surrounding soil, and the dense vegetation. With its balanced exposure and wide field of view, this map is suitable for creating realistic outdoor backgrounds and providing accurate global illumination for architectural exterior visualisations.

The download is a 6.4 MB file containing a 2K equirectangular high-dynamic-range environment map, ready to load as dome or world lighting in Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp renderers, Unreal Engine and D5.

To use this HDR map, load the file directly into your rendering engine's environment or world lighting slot. Adjust the rotation to align the sun position with your scene's primary light source for consistent shadow direction. Because the file contains high-dynamic-range data, you can manipulate the exposure settings within your renderer to achieve the desired intensity without losing detail in the highlights, ensuring seamless integration with your 3D geometry and materials.

This environment map is ideal for architectural exterior visualisations, landscape design presentations, and automotive renders requiring a realistic countryside backdrop. It works effectively for projects situated in rural or semi-rural contexts, providing a naturalistic lighting environment that grounds your models in a believable setting. Use this asset when you need to simulate bright, clear-day conditions for residential developments, park designs, or rural infrastructure projects where high-contrast, natural sunlight is essential for demonstrating material performance and overall site atmosphere.
