About this asset

This contemporary 3ds Max dining chair features an off-white boucle upholstered seat and backrest supported by a natural wood frame. This dining chair showcases a distinct contemporary aesthetic, defined by its tapered wooden legs and spherical finial details. The seat and backrest are upholstered in a textured off-white boucle fabric, providing a soft contrast to the warm, natural-wood finish of the frame. The backrest is shaped with a subtle, gentle curve, and the legs are slightly flared, offering a balanced and elegant silhouette. Its compact proportions make it an ideal choice for minimalist or modern dining spaces where visual clarity and tactile comfort are prioritised, ensuring a clean and sophisticated look for any interior scheme.

The download is a 26.2 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this model is organised with logical layer naming, allowing for easy selection of the timber frame and upholstery components. Users should apply a standard material with high-resolution textures to the boucle to capture the fabric's characteristic loop pile. The geometry is clean, supporting efficient UV mapping for both the wood grain and the fabric. When integrating into a scene, ensure the pivot point is set to the base of the legs for precise placement on floor surfaces.

This chair is suited for residential dining rooms, boutique hotel suites, or modern cafe interiors. It pairs effectively with natural timber dining tables or as a standalone accent piece in a quiet reading corner. Designers often search for this type of seating when specifying furniture for contemporary homes or hospitality projects that require a blend of softness and structural warmth. Its versatile form complements various palettes, from neutral-toned minimalist rooms to more eclectic, texture-focused interior design concepts.
