About this asset

This equirectangular HDR environment map captures a modern urban pergola walkway at midday, providing realistic lighting and reflections. The environment map features a clean, contemporary walkway defined by a series of black metal pergola frames set against minimalist white architectural walls. The ground is composed of large-format concrete paving slabs, while mature trees overhead create intricate, dappled leaf shadows across the scene. The lighting is bright and directional, characteristic of a clear midday sun, offering sharp contrast between the illuminated surfaces and the shaded areas. This high-dynamic-range file preserves the full exposure range, ensuring accurate light contribution for both highlights and deep shadows in your 3D renders.

The download is a 6.6 MB file containing a 2K equirectangular high-dynamic-range environment map, ready to load as dome or world lighting in Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp renderers, Unreal Engine and D5.

Load this HDR file into your 3D software's environment or world lighting slot to serve as the primary light source and background. Because the file contains high-dynamic-range data, it will automatically drive global illumination, producing physically accurate bounces and soft, natural shadows on your models. Adjust the rotation to align the sun position with your scene's key light, and fine-tune the intensity to match the exposure of your interior or exterior architectural project.

This environment is ideal for architectural visualisations of modern residential developments, public plazas, or commercial outdoor spaces. It pairs effectively with scenes requiring a clean, professional aesthetic and realistic outdoor daylighting. Architects and visualisers searching for urban walkway backgrounds, dappled light environments, or exterior lighting solutions will find this map versatile for both close-up product renders and wider site context shots. It works well in projects ranging from schematic design to final high-end marketing imagery for urban planning proposals.
