Partly Cloudy Netted Nursery HDRI Environment Map

This partly cloudy nursery HDRI environment map provides realistic midday lighting and soft, diffused shadows for 3D scenes. This HDRI environment map captures a commercial plant nursery beneath a protective mesh netting system. The image features a wide-angle, equirectangular projection showing rows of potted greenery set against a backdrop of distant trees and a bright, partly cloudy sky. The netting structure creates a distinct, soft-focus grid pattern across the overhead view, which effectively modulates the natural sunlight. Colours are dominated by earthy brown ground tones, deep green foliage, and a palette of white and blue from the sky, providing a balanced, naturalistic lighting environment for outdoor or agricultural visualizations.

The download is a 6.5 MB file containing a 2K equirectangular high-dynamic-range environment map, ready to load as dome or world lighting in Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp renderers, Unreal Engine and D5.

Professionals can load this.hdr file directly into the environment or background slot of any industry-standard rendering engine. It functions as a global illumination source, providing both the background plate and the primary lighting data for reflections and shadows. Because the light is naturally diffused by the nursery netting, it is ideal for achieving soft, realistic contact shadows without the need for complex artificial light setups or additional fill lights in the scene.

This environment is well-suited for architectural visualisations of agricultural, horticultural, or landscape design projects. It provides a credible, high-utility backdrop for exterior renderings that require a semi-protected or industrial-nursery setting. It pairs effectively with scenes featuring greenhouse structures, garden centres, or large-scale landscaping installations. Use this map when your project requires a neutral, overcast-adjacent lighting quality that avoids the harsh contrast of direct sunlight, ensuring consistent illumination across complex plant models and site topography in your final render.
