Misty Dawn Rural Field HDRI Environment Map

This equirectangular HDRI map captures a misty dawn over a rural field, providing soft, cool lighting for 3D rendering projects. This high-dynamic-range environment map features a expansive, frost-covered rural field during the early morning hours. The scene is defined by a clear, cool-toned blue sky that transitions into a faint, warm sunrise glow at the horizon. A gentle, low-lying mist blankets the ground, adding atmospheric depth to the landscape. Key elements include a solitary tree on the left and a series of electrical pylons trailing into the distance, which provide natural scale and visual interest. The lighting is soft and diffused, ideal for creating realistic, low-contrast illumination in exterior architectural visualisations.

The download is a 5.7 MB file containing a 2K equirectangular high-dynamic-range environment map, ready to load as dome or world lighting in Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp renderers, Unreal Engine and D5.

To use this map, load the.hdr file into the environment slot of your rendering engine. Because it is an equirectangular projection, it will automatically wrap around your scene to provide 360-degree background visuals and realistic light reflections on surfaces. Adjust the exposure and rotation settings within your software to align the sunrise with your building’s primary focal point, ensuring the soft, cool light correctly influences the shadows and highlights of your 3D assets.

This environment map is well-suited for rural residential projects, landscape design visualisations, or master-planning presentations requiring an early morning atmosphere. It pairs effectively with natural timber, concrete, or stone materials often found in farmhouse or vernacular architecture. Professionals searching for a serene, natural backdrop for exterior renders will find this asset useful for establishing a specific time-of-day mood without the complexity of manual lighting setups. It is particularly effective for scenes where soft, non-directional light is required to highlight building materiality.
