About this asset

This equirectangular HDRI map captures an autumn highway at sunset, providing natural, low-contrast lighting for 3D renders. The Leibstadt environment map features a panoramic view of a rural asphalt road winding through an autumnal landscape. The scene is captured at sunset, characterised by a soft, warm glow across the horizon and a pale, partly cloudy sky. The foreground includes road markings and a metal guardrail, while the background consists of sloping hills covered in mature trees with seasonal foliage. This 360-degree capture offers a balanced, low-contrast illumination profile, making it suitable for exterior architectural visualisations that require a realistic, naturalistic backdrop with consistent light distribution across the entire hemisphere.

The download is a 6.4 MB file containing a 2K equirectangular high-dynamic-range environment map, ready to load as dome or world lighting in Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp renderers, Unreal Engine and D5.

To utilise this environment map, load the.hdr file directly into the world environment slot of your rendering engine. Adjust the rotation to align the sun position with your scene's primary light source for accurate shadow casting. Because this map provides high-dynamic-range data, it effectively drives global illumination, reflections, and ambient lighting. Ensure your exposure settings in the renderer are calibrated to match the soft intensity of the sunset lighting captured within the map for a seamless integration.

This HDRI is ideal for exterior visualisations of residential or infrastructure projects situated in rural or semi-rural settings. It works well for daylight scenes requiring a calm, late-afternoon mood. Professionals looking for realistic road environments, countryside backdrops, or natural light setups for automotive or landscape rendering will find this asset useful. It pairs effectively with diverse architectural styles, from modern minimalist homes to traditional farmhouse designs, providing a versatile and authentic lighting base for high-quality architectural presentations and site-context studies.
