About this asset

Kloppenheim 7 is a 2K equirectangular HDRI map capturing an overcast night over a grassy field with distant horizon lighting. This environment map features a low-contrast, muted nocturnal scene set across an expansive, flat grassy landscape. The sky is filled with soft, diffused cloud cover, creating a moody, ambient atmosphere. On the horizon, distant artificial lights provide subtle points of warmth, contrasting with the cool, dark tones of the field. The composition provides a natural, soft-lit base for architectural exterior visualisations, ensuring realistic light distribution and reflections on building facades or site elements. The file is formatted for standard environment slots, offering a seamless 360-degree panoramic view.

The download is a 6.3 MB file containing a 2K equirectangular high-dynamic-range environment map, ready to load as dome or world lighting in Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp renderers, Unreal Engine and D5.

To use this asset, load the.hdr file into your renderer's environment or world lighting slot. Adjust the exposure or intensity settings to match your scene's scale and desired mood. Since this map provides ambient, non-directional lighting, it works effectively as a base layer for night-time renders, which can then be supplemented by artificial light sources within your 3D model. Always ensure your camera exposure settings are calibrated to capture the subtle light values present in the map.

This HDRI is ideal for residential exterior visualisations, rural landscape projects, and site-specific architectural studies requiring an atmospheric night-time setting. It pairs well with projects involving low-density housing, agricultural buildings, or open-space master planning. Professionals looking to achieve a natural, realistic night-time aesthetic for dusk or late-evening shots will find this map useful for establishing consistent global illumination. It is a reliable choice for achieving soft, diffused night lighting without the harshness of direct moonlight in a rural context.
