About this asset

This contemporary ceiling fan for SketchUp features five dark wood blades paired with a matte black motor housing and mount. Designed with a clean, contemporary aesthetic, this ceiling fan integrates a central matte black motor housing with five tapered, dark wood-finish blades. The mechanical assembly includes a standard ceiling canopy, a short downrod, and detailed blade brackets that secure each timber-look blade to the central hub. The proportions are balanced for residential interiors, offering a neutral profile that avoids excessive ornamentation. Its deep brown tones and dark metal finish create a sophisticated contrast, making it suitable for both modern and transitional interior design schemes where functional air circulation is required.

The download is a 25.4 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

In SketchUp, this component is structured for easy insertion into ceiling planes. Users should ensure the model is placed at the correct height using the native move tool to avoid clipping with light fixtures or high-level cabinetry. The materials are applied as standard textures, allowing for quick adjustments to the wood grain or metal finish via the materials tray. It is recommended to keep the fan on a dedicated layer for toggling visibility during interior rendering workflows.

This asset is ideal for residential living rooms, master bedrooms, and covered outdoor patios where comfort and air movement are prioritised. It integrates well with contemporary, transitional, or industrial-style interiors, providing a subtle visual anchor on the ceiling. Professionals often search for this type of fixture when specifying climate control solutions for open-plan apartments, boutique hotel suites, or casual dining areas. Pair this with minimalist downlights or ambient wall sconces to complete the ceiling lighting plan for your project.
