Kloofendal 48d Partly Cloudy HDRI Environment Map

This equirectangular HDRI environment map provides realistic midday lighting with a partly cloudy sky for 3D architectural renders. Captured in a high-contrast natural setting, this environment map features a vibrant blue sky punctuated by scattered white cumulus clouds. The foreground displays rugged, rocky terrain integrated with dry, sparse vegetation typical of a hillside landscape. The lighting profile is bright and directional, characteristic of midday sun, which casts distinct shadows and highlights textures in 3D models. The panoramic capture preserves the full dynamic range of the scene, ensuring that light intensity and colour temperature remain consistent across reflections and global illumination, making it suitable for exterior architectural visualisation projects.

The download is a 6.2 MB file containing a 2K equirectangular high-dynamic-range environment map, ready to load as dome or world lighting in Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp renderers, Unreal Engine and D5.

To use this file, load the.hdr equirectangular map into the environment or background slot of your chosen 3D rendering engine. This file is compatible with standard industry software including V-Ray, Corona, Arnold, and Cycles, providing a high-quality global illumination source for exterior scenes.

This environment map is ideal for exterior architectural visualisations of residential projects, landscape design, or rural developments. It provides a natural, high-contrast backdrop that works well with modern, rustic, or vernacular building styles. Professionals should search for this asset when creating daylight scenes that require a realistic, open-air atmosphere with clear visibility of surrounding hills. It pairs effectively with exterior material studies, glass-heavy facades, and site-context renderings where a natural, sunlit environment is essential for achieving photorealistic results.
