About this asset

This equirectangular HDRI environment map captures a soft, overcast day in Killesberg Park, providing natural, low-contrast lighting. The environment map depicts a public garden setting featuring paved stone walkways, curved concrete steps, and integrated planters. The scene is framed by mature trees and varied shrubbery, offering a neutral, diffuse lighting profile suitable for exterior visualisations. The overcast sky ensures minimal shadow intensity, making it an ideal choice for testing material textures or placing architectural models in a natural, temperate context. The composition provides a 360-degree view of the park, capturing the interplay between hardscape elements and the surrounding greenery under a consistent, flat daylight condition.

The download is a 6.3 MB file containing a 2K equirectangular high-dynamic-range environment map, ready to load as dome or world lighting in Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp renderers, Unreal Engine and D5.

Load this.hdr file into the environment or background slot of a 3D rendering engine. Because it is captured in a high-dynamic-range format, it will provide global illumination and reflections to the scene. Adjust the exposure and rotation parameters within the render settings to align the soft, overcast light with the camera view. Use this map to achieve realistic ambient lighting without the harsh shadows associated with direct sun, ensuring balanced, even illumination across all model surfaces.

This environment is well-suited for landscape architecture projects, residential site planning, or any exterior visualisation requiring a temperate, cloudy atmosphere. It pairs effectively with garden furniture, outdoor structures, and park-related assets. Professionals looking for a natural, non-distracting background for product renders or architectural massing studies will find this useful. Search for this asset when needing soft, diffuse light for park scenes, urban garden designs, or general exterior lighting setups that require a balanced, overcast aesthetic for realistic daylighting in architectural renderings.
