Day Sky HDRI 052 B

Day Sky HDRI 052 B is a 2K high-dynamic-range environment map providing realistic daylight illumination and reflections for 3D scenes. This HDRI environment map features a bright, partly cloudy daytime sky with soft, diffused light suitable for neutral outdoor or interior lighting scenarios. The capture provides a balanced range of exposure, ensuring consistent illumination across 3D surfaces. It includes a clear horizon line and a natural distribution of cloud formations, which helps in creating believable ambient occlusion and soft shadows. The map is designed to integrate seamlessly into rendering pipelines, offering a reliable source for both global illumination and high-quality reflections on materials like glass, polished metal, or glossy finishes.

The download is a 6.2 MB compressed archive containing a 2K equirectangular high-dynamic-range environment map, ready to load as dome or world lighting in Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp renderers, Unreal Engine and D5.

To use this HDRI map, load the file into the environment slot of your preferred rendering engine, such as V-Ray, Corona, or Octane. Adjust the exposure and rotation settings to align the light source with your scene geometry. The map acts as a primary light source, eliminating the need for complex multi-light rigs while ensuring that reflections remain physically consistent with the ambient lighting conditions. Ensure your render settings are configured to use the high-dynamic-range data for optimal light intensity.

This environment map is ideal for architectural visualisations requiring clean, natural daytime lighting. It works effectively for residential exterior renders, commercial office interiors, or hospitality projects where a bright, airy atmosphere is desired. Use it to provide realistic background reflections for glazing and metallic facade elements. It pairs well with neutral palettes and clean-lined architectural designs, providing a professional, balanced light quality that enhances the realism of materials without overwhelming the scene with complex colour casts or harsh, direct sunlight.
