About this asset

Sculptural and geometric, this chandelier 3ds Max model pairs crossed black metal arms with brass rings holding luminous tubular light diffusers. Constructed with an architectural balance of intersecting elements, this pendant luminaire features two crossed horizontal bars finished in matte black. Attached at the extremities are circular brass or gold metallic halos encircling cylindrical opal glass diffusers, creating a striking interplay of linear and radial geometries. A central junction point reinforces the mobile-like aesthetic, balanced symmetrically. Thin wire suspensions extend up to a minimal circular ceiling canopy. The warm metallic accents contrast sharply against the dark framework, diffusing soft omnidirectional illumination through the frosted tubes.

The download is a 1.1 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

In 3ds Max, this luminaire can be merged directly into interior scenes and positioned relative to finished ceiling datums. The suspension drop cables allow easy adjustment using sub-object vertex edits to fit specific floor-to-ceiling clearances. Self-illuminated or mesh light materials applied to the cylinders can be paired with photometric IES lights or photometric spot sources to accurately replicate diffuse ambient wash and cast defined shadows across surrounding architectural surfaces.

Ideally suited for open-plan dining rooms, residential living spaces, boutique hotel lobbies, and executive meeting rooms, this pendant serves as a dramatic focal centerpiece. The elongated form complements rectangular dining tables, kitchen islands, and long conference desks. Designers searching for a contemporary ring chandelier, mobile branch luminaire, or modern architectural suspension light can incorporate this fixture into high-end residential and commercial hospitality visualisation schemes.
