About this asset

This Kiara 8 Sunset HDRI environment map provides realistic golden hour lighting for outdoor scenes with a clear mountain vista. The environment map captures a high-contrast, natural landscape during the golden hour. It features a wide, panoramic view of rugged, rocky ridges and a distant valley bathed in warm, low-angled sunlight. The foreground consists of textured stone terrain with sparse, hardy vegetation, creating a sense of depth and scale. The sky is clear, transitioning from a warm, intense yellow glow near the horizon to a deep blue overhead, providing a distinct light source for balanced, atmospheric illumination in any 3D scene or architectural visualisation project.

The download is a 6 MB file containing a 2K equirectangular high-dynamic-range environment map, ready to load as dome or world lighting in Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp renderers, Unreal Engine and D5.

To use this HDR file, load it into the environment or background slot of your preferred 3D rendering engine. It functions as a complete light source, providing both the background image and the global illumination. Adjust the rotation to align the sun position with your project geometry to ensure shadows are cast correctly. For best results, use the map to drive indirect lighting, ensuring the intensity is calibrated to match your scene's exposure requirements for realistic, high-fidelity results.

This asset is ideal for exterior architectural visualisations, landscape design projects, and automotive renders requiring natural, high-contrast lighting. It pairs well with desert or mountain-themed environments and is suitable for both residential and commercial project types.
