About this asset

This 2K equirectangular HDRI map captures an overcast autumn forest view from inside a weathered, graffiti-covered wooden shelter. The environment map features a 360-degree perspective from within a rustic, semi-enclosed timber structure. Curved wooden benches are positioned along the perimeter, while the floor consists of worn paving. Beyond the shelter's wide openings, a soft, diffused light illuminates an autumn forest landscape with scattered foliage. The lighting conditions are consistent and overcast, providing neutral, shadow-softening illumination suitable for realistic exterior or semi-interior architectural visualisations.

The download is a 6.6 MB file containing a 2K equirectangular high-dynamic-range environment map, ready to load as dome or world lighting in Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp renderers, Unreal Engine and D5.

To integrate this environment into your scene, load the HDR file into the world or environment background slot of your rendering engine. Adjust the rotation to align the shelter's openings with your primary camera view. Because the map provides high dynamic range data, it will serve as both the background plate and the primary light source for reflections and global illumination, ensuring accurate light interaction with materials like glass, metal, and polished surfaces in your 3D model.

This asset is ideal for projects requiring a gritty, urban-adjacent, or park-based atmosphere, such as park pavilions, community gardens, or public recreational spaces. It works effectively for mid-stage design renders where a grounded, realistic context is needed to sell the scale of architectural elements. Professionals can use this to provide natural, diffused lighting for exterior scenes, pairing it with vegetation assets and concrete textures to create a cohesive, lived-in aesthetic for landscape or residential development presentations.
