Modern Transparent Bubble Swing Chair

This modern bubble swing chair for SketchUp features a transparent acrylic shell supported by a white powder-coated steel frame. This iconic bubble-style swing chair features a spherical, transparent acrylic shell that provides a lightweight visual presence. It is suspended from a curved, white powder-coated metal stand that terminates in a stable circular pedestal base. The interior is furnished with soft, lime-green fabric cushions, offering a vibrant contrast to the clear enclosure and white structural components. The design maintains a clean, minimalist aesthetic suitable for contemporary interiors, focusing on ergonomic comfort and a sculptural silhouette. All components are clearly defined, showcasing the joinery between the suspension arm and the chair shell.

The download is a 65.6 MB compressed archive containing the native SketchUp (.skp) model. It opens directly in SketchUp; for 3ds Max, Blender or Cinema 4D, import it through a SketchUp importer or convert it first.

In SketchUp, this model is organised into logical groups, allowing for easy placement within interior scenes. Users should ensure the model is scaled correctly to match room dimensions before finalising positioning. Materials are applied as standard textures, which can be easily edited or replaced to suit specific project palettes. Because the chair is a freestanding unit, it can be adjusted independently of other furniture, making it useful for creating focal points in lounge areas or bedroom corners without needing complex wall attachments or ceiling-mounted hardware.
