About this asset

This 2K HDRI environment map provides realistic overcast garden lighting and reflections for exterior architectural visualisations. This HDRI map captures a soft, overcast day within a manicured garden setting. The environment features lush green lawns, mature trees, and gravel pathways, providing natural ambient light and realistic reflections. The file is calibrated to provide consistent illumination across a 3D scene, ensuring that light sources and reflections are physically accurate. It includes a neutral light profile typical of cloudy conditions, making it ideal for scenes requiring soft shadows and diffused highlights without the harsh contrast of direct sunlight. The image data is balanced for immediate use in standard render engines.

The download is an 11.9 MB compressed archive containing a 2K equirectangular high-dynamic-range environment map, ready to load as dome or world lighting in Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp renderers, Unreal Engine and D5.

To use this HDRI, load the file into the environment or world lighting slot of your preferred rendering engine. Adjust the exposure settings to match the scale of your scene, and rotate the map to align the primary light source with your architectural geometry. Because the environment map contains both lighting and reflection data, no additional light rigs are typically required for exterior shots, ensuring that reflections in windows or metallic surfaces remain consistent with the background environment.

This asset is suited for residential exterior visualisations, landscape design projects, and park planning presentations. It is effective for scenes requiring a soft, natural aesthetic, particularly when showcasing garden architecture or outdoor living spaces. Professionals can use this map to ground 3D models in a realistic, verdant context, providing a balanced, diffused light that complements detailed planting plans and stone paving materials. It is a versatile choice for architectural portfolios where a calm, overcast atmosphere is preferred over high-contrast sunny conditions.
