Evening Sky HDRI 031 a

Evening Sky HDRI 031 A is a 2K high-dynamic-range environment map providing authentic sunset illumination for architectural visualisations. This 2K resolution HDRI environment map features a wide-angle capture of a rural landscape during sunset. The image provides a balanced dynamic range, capturing the transition from the golden horizon to the darkening blue sky above. The scene includes natural terrain and distant vegetation, offering realistic reflections for metallic and glossy surfaces. As a captured environment, it ensures that the light source, shadows, and reflections are physically consistent, allowing for accurate light integration within 3D scenes without the need for additional artificial lighting rigs or complex compositing techniques.

The download is a 7.3 MB compressed archive containing a 2K equirectangular high-dynamic-range environment map, ready to load as dome or world lighting in Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp renderers, Unreal Engine and D5.

To use this HDRI, load the file into the environment slot of your 3D software's renderer. Adjust the rotation to align the sun position with your project's primary light source for consistent shadows. Because this is a high-dynamic-range image, the exposure values are preserved, allowing you to control the intensity of the scene lighting directly through the render engine's exposure settings. It is recommended to use this map as the primary light source to ensure reflections match the background environment.

This environment map is suitable for exterior architectural visualisations, particularly those requiring a soft, natural sunset glow. It integrates well into residential projects located in rural or open settings, where a serene, late-afternoon mood is desired. Professionals working on landscape design or exterior master planning will find this asset useful for establishing environmental context and realistic lighting conditions. It pairs effectively with projects featuring large glazed surfaces, polished metal finishes, or any scene where accurate sky reflections are essential for visual fidelity.
