About this asset

Evening Sky HDRI 012 is a 2K high-dynamic-range environment map featuring a sunset over a flat field for realistic light. This 2K resolution environment map captures a serene sunset over an expansive, flat rural field. The sky is filled with soft, textured cloud cover, transitioning from a warm, golden horizon to cooler, muted blue tones overhead. The lighting profile provides a natural, low-angle sun position, creating long, soft shadows and a warm ambient glow typical of the late afternoon or early evening. The image includes a reference sphere set—chrome, neutral grey, and blue—demonstrating the map's ability to handle complex reflections, diffuse light scattering, and accurate colour rendering in a 3D environment.

The download is a 9.4 MB compressed archive containing a 2K equirectangular high-dynamic-range environment map, ready to load as dome or world lighting in Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp renderers, Unreal Engine and D5.

To implement this HDRI, load the file directly into the environment or world lighting slot of your preferred rendering engine. Adjust the exposure and rotation to align the sun's position with your architectural geometry, ensuring the soft, directional light matches your scene's perspective. Because the reflections and ambient light are captured from the same source, no additional light rigs are necessary to achieve realistic, physically accurate illumination and shadow behaviour for exteriors or open-plan interior visualisations.

This asset is ideal for exterior visualisations, landscape design presentations, and any project requiring a natural, atmospheric sunset backdrop. It works particularly well for rural residential developments, park designs, or open agricultural site planning where a soft, evening mood is requested. Professionals will find this useful for achieving consistent lighting across multiple camera angles without the complexity of manual light placement. Search for this when looking for late-day lighting, rural sky environments, or soft-focus exterior backgrounds for architectural renderings.
