About this asset

This equirectangular HDRI environment map provides realistic outdoor lighting for a rustic balcony setting in a rural landscape. This 360-degree environment map features a weathered wooden balcony deck overlooking a rural landscape. The scene includes a closed fabric parasol, metal railings, and a building facade with blue-framed double doors and climbing vines. In the background, solar panels are visible in a field, surrounded by mature trees and shrubs under a partly cloudy sky. The lighting setup captures soft, natural afternoon conditions, providing consistent ambient illumination and realistic reflections for architectural visualizations. The composition is balanced, offering a clear view of both the immediate terrace structure and the surrounding natural environment.

The download is a 6.5 MB file containing a 2K equirectangular high-dynamic-range environment map, ready to load as dome or world lighting in Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp renderers, Unreal Engine and D5.

To use this HDRI in your rendering software, load the file into the environment or world lighting slot of your preferred engine. Adjust the exposure settings to match your scene's light intensity and rotate the map to align the sun position with your project's orientation for accurate shadow casting. Because this is an equirectangular image, it will map seamlessly onto the interior of a virtual sphere, providing both high-dynamic-range lighting data and a realistic background for exterior views.

Ideal for architectural renderings of residential projects, this environment map is well-suited for exterior shots that require a natural, lived-in feel. It works effectively for daylight scenes, particularly those involving wooden decking, garden furniture, or rural residential architecture. Professionals often employ such maps to ground digital models within a realistic context, pairing the asset with exterior furniture sets or landscape elements. It is an efficient tool for quick, high-quality lighting setups in both still images and animated walkthroughs of countryside homes.
