About this asset

This equirectangular HDRI environment map provides realistic autumn woodland lighting with dappled sunlight and soft shadows. Captured within a dense deciduous forest, this 360-degree environment map features a warm, natural colour palette dominated by earthy browns, muted greens, and golden foliage tones. The visual composition includes a clearing surrounded by mature trees, with a small stream visible in the distance and a ground plane covered in leaf litter. The lighting conditions represent a clear morning, producing soft, diffuse shadows and a natural contrast range suitable for high-fidelity rendering. The equirectangular projection ensures seamless wrapping for spherical background environments and dome light setups in any professional 3D software.

The download is a 7.1 MB file containing a 2K equirectangular high-dynamic-range environment map, ready to load as dome or world lighting in Blender, 3ds Max, SketchUp renderers, Unreal Engine and D5.

To use this HDRI, load the file into the environment slot of your chosen rendering engine, such as V-Ray, Corona, or Octane. Ensure the mapping is set to spherical or environment mode to correctly align the horizon. You may need to adjust the intensity or exposure settings to balance the ambient light against your scene geometry. The map provides both the background plate and the primary light source, enabling accurate reflections and soft, natural illumination on your 3D assets.

This environment map is ideal for exterior architectural visualisations, landscape design projects, and automotive renders requiring a natural, organic backdrop. It pairs well with outdoor furniture, residential architecture, or any scene needing realistic ambient light from a forest setting. Professionals often search for this type of asset when they need to quickly establish a believable outdoor mood without the complexity of placing individual 3D trees or complex light rigs. It is suitable for projects at any stage from conceptual massing to final high-end output.
