About this asset

This tropical-style lounge set for 3ds Max features two curved rattan armchairs and an oval coffee table with white fabric cushions. This three-piece lounge set comprises two matching armchairs and a low-profile oval coffee table, all constructed from woven natural rattan. The armchairs exhibit a rounded, cocoon-like silhouette, providing a soft, organic aesthetic suitable for relaxed interiors. Each chair includes a plush, white upholstered seat cushion and a matching square back cushion for added comfort. The coffee table features a finely woven top surface, echoing the material palette of the seating. The ensemble is completed with small decorative accessories, including a ceramic vessel and magazines, which are included as part of the model set.

The download is a 30.2 MB compressed archive containing the native 3ds Max (.max) model holding 3 separate objects, set up with Corona materials. Open it in 3ds Max with Corona installed; for other programs, export to FBX or OBJ from 3ds Max first.

When working with this 3ds Max model, ensure the pivot points are correctly aligned at the base of each object for easy placement within your scene. The rattan texture is mapped to follow the organic curves of the furniture, so avoid excessive scaling which may distort the weave pattern. Use a neutral HDRI environment to best capture the interplay of light on the woven surfaces, and consider applying a slight displacement map to the cushions to enhance the realism of the fabric folds and seams.

This lounge set is ideal for creating inviting casual zones in residential projects, such as sunrooms, conservatories, or covered terraces. It also functions well in hospitality settings like hotel lobbies, boutique cafes, or spa relaxation areas. Designers looking for a relaxed, airy aesthetic will find this set pairs effectively with light-coloured rugs, indoor potted plants, and sheer curtains.
