About this asset

Traditional grille window assemblies provide authentic regional facade articulation in this versatile Revit family set with varied apertures. This collection features an array of patterned window units designed with intricate internal screen motifs reminiscent of regional Indian lattice work. The configuration displays varying aspect ratios, ranging from narrow vertical punctures to wide square panels. Each unit incorporates a distinct perimeter frame surrounding detailed geometric tracery infills that cast complex shade patterns. The preview illustrates multiple aperture sizes mounted along a common host wall, showing dark finished grilles with contrasting exterior casing outlines in accent colours, ideal for historic restorations, regional infill facades, and dense urban architectural compositions.

The download is a 2.7 MB file containing a Revit family (.rfa). Load it into a project from the Insert tab with Load Family, then place it like any other component of its category; it schedules and tags with the rest of your model.

Designed as wall-hosted Revit components, these window elements insert directly into basic or compound system walls, automatically generating host openings. Project teams can adjust standard sill heights, swap types across facade elevations, and assign custom project materials to internal frames, screen louvres, and perimeter trims to suit specific rendering workflows in Enscape, Lumion, or native Revit realistic display modes.

Suited for residential courtyard homes, boutique hotels, heritage conservation, and contemporary vernacular projects, these screening windows balance thermal shading with visual privacy. They coordinate effectively with exterior plaster finishes, exposed brickwork, and sandstone cladding. Specifiers searching for decorative jali windows, patterned architectural screens, Indian facade treatments, or wall-hosted heritage fenestration can integrate these units into early schematic massing studies through to detailed technical documentation packages.
