About this asset

Traditional black wrought iron window security grille Revit family featuring symmetrical scrollwork flourishes and extended wall-mounting anchors. Fabricated in black wrought iron, this decorative window grille features a prominent central cross motif with symmetrical outward scrollwork curls arranged within each quadrant. The intersecting vertical and horizontal structural bars extend well beyond the window opening perimeter, terminating in diamond-shaped mounting plates designed to anchor directly into the exterior facade surface. Sized to protect and accentuate standard rectangular window apertures, the ornate filigree pattern balances historic aesthetics with defensive screening, complementing Mediterranean, rustic, or Spanish colonial exterior elevations and plastered wall assemblies.

The download is a 410 KB file containing a Revit family (.rfa). Load it into a project from the Insert tab with Load Family, then place it like any other component of its category; it schedules and tags with the rest of your model.

Load the native RFA component into Revit project environments to detail exterior elevations and 3D perspectives. Place the family aligned with window wall openings, checking host wall relationships and mounting anchor offsets. Material parameters permit swapping standard matte black metal finishes for weathered bronze or painted steel to match architectural hardware schedules and facade specifications.

This decorative iron screen suits traditional residential villas, historic renovation projects, boutique hospitality properties, and Mediterranean-style estate architecture. Specifiers and visualisers use this ornamental metalwork element for ground-floor security window grilles, courtyard facade detailing, and rustic exterior fenestration accents. It pairs effectively with terracotta barrel tile roofs, textured stucco plaster walls, dressed stone sills, and timber-framed casement or fixed glazing assemblies across schematic design and design development documentation.
