About this asset

Modern grey fixed skylight Revit family featuring a clean rectangular frame profile and glazed aperture designed for daylighting. Physically, this component represents a compact rectangular rooflight unit designed with a clean, low-profile outer curb and perimeter frame. The sash surrounds a single continuous glazed panel rendered in neutral tinted glass. A textured grey flashing collar borders the frame, transitioning seamlessly into the adjacent host surface. Its rectilinear proportion reflects a standard two-by-three modular format, balancing aperture size with structural framing spans. Clean geometric lines and minimal visible hardware make it suitable for clean architectural details, pitched roofs, and flat roof curbs requiring unobstructed overhead natural lighting.

The download is a 102 KB file containing a Revit family (.rfa). Load it into a project from the Insert tab with Load Family, then place it like any other component of its category; it schedules and tags with the rest of your model.

Architects and BIM technicians can load this RFA component directly into their Revit project environment and insert it onto pitched or flat host roof assemblies. The opening cut cuts cleanly through the layered construction, establishing correct daylight apertures in section views and elevations. Standard family parameters allow quick scheduling of window counts, while generic material designations can be mapped to project-specific aluminium finishes and high-performance glazing specifications.

Ideal for contemporary residential architecture, loft conversions, attic spaces, and open-plan living rooms where vertical illumination is necessary. This roof window integrates naturally above stairwells, internal corridors, master bathrooms, and kitchen extensions to introduce top lighting into deep floor plans. Visualisers and architectural designers searching for fixed roof lights, flush roof windows, or compact daylighting units can utilize this model across schematic planning, planning documentation, and realistic external envelope rendering.
