Featuring a transparent parabolic reflector, this modern directional dome speaker Revit family provides targeted acoustic coverage in Revit AV layouts. Engineered for targeted sound projection, this pendant directional speaker features a broad, shallow hemispherical dome fabricated from transparent acrylic. A suspended central transducer assembly with a perforated dark acoustic housing is mounted along the central vertical stem, projecting sound waves downward into the parabolic reflector to create a localized listening field. Minimalist hardware details secure the suspension rod to the dome apex. The translucent curved shell maintains sightlines across open interiors while delineating an isolated acoustic zone beneath the suspended housing.
The download is a 256 KB file containing a Revit family (.rfa). Load it into a project from the Insert tab with Load Family, then place it like any other component of its category; it schedules and tags with the rest of your model.
Load the RFA file into project environments to coordinate audiovisual equipment in reflected ceiling plans and coordination views. Position the pendant element relative to finished ceiling elevations and ensure structural clearance with overhead MEP services. Adjust native visibility parameters to display appropriate 2D symbology in plan views while maintaining clean 3D geometry for clash detection and interior coordination models.
Suited for museums, art galleries, interactive exhibition spaces, retail showrooms, and library kiosks where audio must remain focused without bleeding into adjacent exhibits. This directional sound dome pairs seamlessly with interactive display terminals, suspended track lighting, and exhibition casework. Specifiers and AV consultants typically identify this component under directional sound dome, parabolic acoustic speaker, localized listening station, and focused audio luminaire mounts.
